THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY EVENING THROUGH EARLY SUNDAY MORNING

*WINDS SOUTHEAST 5 TO 10 MPH*HAZARD TYPES… SNOW  
* ACCUMULATIONS... 4 TO 6 INCHES * TEMPERATURES...IN THE  LOW 30’S.
* TIMING… SATURDAY EVENING THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING
* IMPACTS...HAZARDOUS TRAVEL DUE TO SNOW AND ICE ACCUMULATIONS. REDUCED VISIBILITIES AT TIMES OF     
  SNOW SQUALLS.

WE ARE  ASKING ALL RESIDENTS TO PLEASE MOVE YOUR CARS OFF THE STREETS THROUGHOUT THE VILLAGE,
WHILE USING YOUR SNOW BLOWER OR SHOVELS, AIM THE SNOW TOWARDS YOUR HOUSE, NOT OUT INTO THE STREET. IF YOU HAVE A FIRE HYDRANT NEAR YOUR HOME, PLEASE MAKE A SMALL PATH AND HAVE THE HYDRANT EXPOSED. FREEPORT EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT IS MONITORING THIS IMPENDING EVENT AND  WILL KEEP EVERYONE ADVISED. PLEASE KEEP YOURSELVES INFORMED VIA TV, OR NOAA RADIO ON RADIO STATION 1690 AM ON FREEPORTS EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT’S RADIO STATION 24/7.
