The Freeport Community Development Agency (FCDA) administers the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding which comes to the village through the Nassau County Consortium and the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
The Mayor serves as Chairman to the FCDA Board of Directors.

The agency is located 11 Richmond Street, near the Nautical Mile, and is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
